Obituary for Maureen Isobelle Savage (Nevis)

Maureen “Mo” Nevis Savage, 68, of Louisburg transitioned peacefully on Friday, March 30, 2018 in her home. She was born on June 20, 1949 to the late Carl and Margaret Devlin Nevis. In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Jo Nevis, a granddaughter, Melissa Sue Travis, and her stepson, Dennis Allen Savage.

Maureen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her time with her family and her pets. Her pets, which were family, include “Buddy”, “Poco uno”, and “Sissy”. Maureen was a great genealogist, having researched 3 complete family trees with her computer skills. She had a way of reading people, easily making friends and helping others.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Bunn Memorial Gardens with Father Marlee Abao, CICM officiating.

Mo is survived by her husband, Richard Savage; her son, Robert Clay Oglesby; her daughter, Cheryl Ann Oglesby; her stepdaughter, Teresa DeBural (Dale); grandchildren, Jamie (Jeremy) and William Heverly, and a great granddaughter, Stella.
