Bobby Raymond Tharrington, 68, of Louisburg left us to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at UNC Nash Healthcare in Rocky Mount. Born on February 13, 1949 to the late Grady Spencer and Mollie Harris Tharrington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth, Carl and J. B. Tharrington. Bobby was a loving husband, father and granddaddy. He was known for being generous and being able to fix anything with his hands. He loved Red Bud Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Red Bud Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Shugart officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Tharrington; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Sara Tharrington; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi T. and James Byerly; grandchildren, Jeb and Caleb Byerly, Sadie, Everly and Finley Tharrington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Kitty Tharrington, Danny and Sandie Tharrington; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Alvis Cash, Beatrice, and C.J. Carter, Sue and Danny Wheless; sisters-in-law, Frances Tharrington and Barbara Smith.
