Malva Wood Jones, 92, of Louisburg left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at her home. Born on June 8, 1925 one of fourteen children to the late Ernest William and Betty Collins Wood. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Hunnicutt and Roy Jones. Malva was a christian woman who loved the Lord and all of His creations being especially fond of birds.

The family will receive friends Sunday at 2:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg where funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverends Steve Kirk and Bobby Piper officiating. Burial will follow in Saints Delight Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Pete Pearce of Louisburg; son and daughter-in-law, Jameston “Jimmy” and Doris Hunnicutt of Raleigh; brothers and sisters, Velma Wilson, Joe Wood, Ed Wood, Betty Jean Baker, Rebecca Dickerson, Lora Patterson; a special niece, Frances Piper; a special nephew, Larry Braswell; grandchildren, Tammy Pope (Dave Collin), Todd Shearon (Becky), Cameron Shearon (Christy), Paige Canterbury (Art), six great grandchildren.
